Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) provide a flexible way for students to continue learning when school is canceled due to weather or other unexpected events. The format will vary by grade level.
On an AMI Day, students will complete assigned coursework from their teachers remotely using school-issued Chromebooks for middle school and high school students and/or provided paper packets for elementary students.
All elementary students will bring home a packet for “snow day learning.” Packets for each grade level can also be accessed online. Middle school and high school students will access their assignments through Canvas.
Participation in AMI Days is required for all students. Students are expected to engage in their assignments and complete all work as directed by their teachers. For grades PK–12, attendance will be recorded based on assignment completion.
When “snow day learning” is designated, it is a required learning day, and completed assignments should be turned in when school resumes.
